Enjoy the heritage of the Brisbane Valley

Explore the diverse heritage of the Brisbane Valley.   Follow the paths of the early pioneers supplying Brisbane with cattle and timber. Relive the experiences of early settlers in their letters and photographs. Enjoy their heritage listed buildings. Judge their old ways by their successes and failures.

Brisbane Valley Heritage Trails has a significant resource collection that brings alive the history of the Brisbane Valley and adjacent districts.  It is organised around the important commercial and service routes that passed though the valley and give the association its name.  We have the stories of the rail and energy trails, the mail coach and stock routes, and the histories of the heritage listed buildings and the families that lived there.

Recommendations for the Development of Interpretive Signage on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is available for public comment from 3 December 2007 until 31 January 2008. It can be viewed electronically (click here - 5Mb) and is also available for public viewing during normal business hours at the following addresses:
